The signs · 05 of 05 · Genesis 9
A bow in the clouds
God hung a weapon in the sky and called it a sign. It is not a Jesus-code. It is a promise He still keeps.
I have set My bow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between Me and the earth.
What happens
01Never again
Never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters. He promises never again to send a flood to destroy the earth. The promise is spoken before the sign is hung.
02My bow in the cloud
A sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. When the bow is seen, I will remember. God binds His own memory to a thing you can look at.
03With every living creature
Not only Noah. The promise covers birds, cattle, and every beast. It is an everlasting covenant. The sign is bigger than one family.
04A rainbow around the throne
The One seated looks like jasper and carnelian. Around the throne, a rainbow. The bow is still in the room. We let that be enough.
Read it this way
After the flood God makes a covenant with Noah, with his children, with every living creature, with the earth. The sign is a bow. Qeshet (קֶשֶׁת) is a bow — the same word as a battle-bow. He hangs the weapon in the cloud and says He will look at it and remember. Never again will waters become a flood to destroy all flesh.
This is not Jesus hiding in a spectrum. Preachers have painted each colour as a doctrine. That is extra. The page says: a sign, a covenant, the earth, never again. Revelation later sees a rainbow around the throne — the same kind of bow, still around the One who sits. We let that rhyme. We do not force a code into the rain.
Some sayThe rainbow is secretly Christ. Each colour is a doctrine. Decode it and you get the gospel.
God named this one a sign Himself. He did not hide a man in the colours. He hung up a weapon and promised the earth.
